STRONGwriter - songwriting workshop

$50 includes refreshments, workshop, take home notes etc and 2nd night showcase night.

Participants MUST purchase in advance; no sales at the gate for the participants. Seats are also LIMITED. Your ticket includes the Songwriters Showcase on June 5th.

Award winning songwriter North Easton along with multi-nominated Campbell+Green will share insights on songwriting, workshop your songs, and answer your questions on areas you feel need improvement in your songwriting. Whether it is Lyrics or music, vocals or performance you will get actionable tips, suggestions and improvements to strengthen your work. Being part of everyone's process you will get valuable tools for your writing.

Participants will fill in a questionnaire to provide specific insight into each writer, the journey they are on and where they are working to improve. This information will help define the areas of focus so we can cover the most ground in the one evening.

Participants will be able to submit one song each. Songs will be reviewed prior to event and as many songs as possible will be selected for critique and work-shopping with the instructors & attendees. Participants who wish to perform may be invited to perform a song the following evening at the Songwriters Showcase night, June 5th .

North Easton is an accomplished performer and award-winning Canadian songwriter with an aptitude for writing evocative, thought-provoking lyrics and melodies.Winner of 106.9 The Bear’s Rock Search; $100,000 in NEWCAP Radio’s Big Money Shot; Indie Pop Album of The Year with his band Garrity; Winner of Song of the Year.com for best country song; International Songwriting Competition 2014 Semi Finalist (TURN) and 2015 Finalist (LOVE LIKE THAT). North’s songs have also been featured in independent films and placed in US syndicated television.

Campbell + Green - Robert Campbell + Cailin Green are singer-songwriters from Halifax. They have been touring, recording and workshopping for many years and recently received 8 nominations for Int’l Singer-Songwriter Assoc 2019. Cailin is a vocal & performance coach, as well as choirmaster. Robert focuses on writing themes, piano, performance and production.
