About the event

"Sienna Dahlen has made a beautifully compelling record that is soulful and unique." -Ron Sexsmith

Juno award-winning vocalist Sienna Dahlen has toured extensively across Canada, Europe, and parts of the US in addition to numerous appearances in Mexico and South America. She has six albums of original folk and jazz music and collaborated on several national and international projects as a co-leader/lyricist with musicians such as Joel Miller, Mads Baerentzen, and Lebanese pianist and composer Wassim Soubra Dunes. In January of 2020, Sienna recorded a duo album of jazz ballads with guitarist, Bill Coon, which is set for release on Cellar Live records in 2023.

Roddy Ellias’ music has been described as “unapologetically beautiful” (All About Jazz) and his creativity “both startling and inspiring” (Just Jazz Guitar). A passionate improviser and prolific composer, Canadian guitarist Roddy Ellias is an artist whose work defies simple definition. His musical journey has taken him from his early roots in pop and R&B bands and classical music, to the improvised world of jazz, through African and other world beats all the way to writing an opera, and everything in between. Along the way he’s performed with some of the great names in music, from Cleo Laine, Michel Legrand, the Montreal Symphony, the NAC Orchestra, Lee Konitz and David Liebman to Joel Frahm and Dr. Lonny Johnston and many more.
