Heather Rankin

JULY 22, 2022

Award-winning Canadian Sweetheart, Heather Rankin is best known as a member of the platinum, multi-selling, iconic musical group the Rankin Family. Rankin’s voice has been shaped by the Gaelic traditions of her home, and by the years she spent singing the songs of her brothers and sisters, but her voice is set free by her new work, and often euphorically so, in a way previously unheard. She continues to forge her own musical legacy with her poetic, intimate original songs, and an eclectic mix of others.

Séan McCann

JULY 22, 2022

7:45-8:45 pm

Séan McCann (the Shantyman) is a founder of the iconic Canadian folk rock band Great Big Sea and an Order of Canada recipient for his advocacy of people living with mental health and addiction issues. He

has spent the last ten years touring North America as a solo concert performer and musical keynote speaker, singing and sharing his story with theatre audiences, front line workers, teachers, students,

patients, inmates, veterans, and anyone who has struggled with their mental health. Séan believes that music is medicine, and a song is never

more powerful than when it is sung with a friend. His new album SHANTYMAN is a rollicking return to his own maritime roots and an invigorating breath of salty sea air to help shake off the negative effects of social isolation.

The American Rogues

JULY 22, 2022

6:30-7:30 pm

The American Rogues aren’t satisfied with classifications like “trad” and “Celtic rock.” They coined their own genre “CeltRockFolkWorldClassicalMusicForTheMasses.” Granted, it’s a bit of mouthful, but it allows the American Rogues to acknowledge the many influences and styles incorporated in the music they play. Perhaps the most essential part of that self-titled classification is “for the masses”: this band makes the dynamic fusions of old and new Irish music accessible for modern North American culture.

Carsie Blanton

July 23, 2022

Carsie Blanton writes anthems for a world worth saving. Inspired by artists including Nina Simone and Randy Newman, her songs encompass a wide range of genres, from sultry pop to punk-tinged Americana. Whether alone with her electric guitar or fronting her four-piece “handsome band,” Carsie delivers every song with an equal dose of moxie and mischief, bringing her audience together in joyful celebration of everything worth fighting for.

Terry Jo Banjo

JULY 23rd

6-6:45 pm

Terry Joe "Banjo" is a folksinger, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, engaging entertainer who's set will consist of something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue grass, but he's definitely not a wedding singer!

He considers himself "just a song & dance man” who follows in the footsteps of his idols John Hartford & Pete Seeger. He's an accomplished clawhammer banjoist who will also end up playing the ukulele, guitar, kazoo, harmonica, & even a paper bag! His songs might touch your heart, tickle your funny bone, make you tap your toes, clap along, sing along and dance along too. A true entertainer who is craving to play for people again, he will surely entertain, and his set is one not to be missed

DIRTY SHEEP, is a sassy little acoustic trio known for soulful harmonies, energetic hooks, and a terrible band name. Marleen Fawcett
w/Mountain Breeze

JULY 23rd

3-4 pm

Marleen has proven time after time that she wants everyone to "have a good time."

Marleen's entertaining experience includes performing in Nashville TN (Winner of the Nashville Palace Singing contest), several clubs, and most major festivals and fairs in Eastern Ontario. She says one of her "most rewarding experiences was entertaining the Canadian Troops in Bosnia and Croatia as a member of a trio called Gal Pals."
