Gordie Tentrees is a cross between Corb Lund and Stompin' Tom Connors. Much like Corb Lund, Gordie has a writing style all his own, and much like Stompin' Tom, commanding the stage and crowd with his honest, humor, and storytelling.

About The Event

International touring award nominated Canadian string bending song slinger Gordie Tentrees has arrived. This road poet, multi-instrumentalist, and master storyteller brings the unexpected to stages across North America, Europe, Australia, UK & Ireland with 7 records behind him either solo or with legendary sideman Jaxon Haldane. From Celtic Connections (Glasgow, Scotland) to the National Folk Festival (Canberra, AU) his ability to hold an audience, weave melody, while juggling the dark with the light is infectious. Performed 750 concerts in 11 countries during the past 4 years alone armed with 10 instruments, brotherly harmonies and masterful storytelling.

Jaxon Haldane opens solo for 30 minutes, then joins Gordie with multiple instruments for 75-90 mins.

Jaxon is also frontman and bandleader for legendary Winnipeg mutant bluegrass band (D-Rangers), with 3 of his own records and helped to create the Willie P Bennett Legacy

Some of the instruments you can expect: Banjo, Mandolin, Musical Saw, Lapsteel Cigar Box, Electric Cigar Box, Porchboard Bass, Snare Tam, Acoustic Guitar, Bottleneck Dobro & Harmonica
